You can get them canal stripers til April. We got plenty of time....... Just a tease, the guys from catfish site already got the first flathead of 2013 from Imperial County. A 30 lber too. Some skills right there.

Too early I think, water is still cold.....you can get one here n there, but bite is slow this time of year. That 30 was only bite they got today. There's other fish to be caught down there. Worth the try though if you want to make a trip. I usually get my first flathead around mid February.
