Did a short "suicide trip I call it" fishing trip to Willow Beach this weekend. Left the house at 8pm, on a 7 1/2 hr drive. Drove 700+ miles in 23 hours on this trip. We were throwing glide type swimbait which work very well for this area. Weapons of choice were Deps Slide Swimmer 250ss, river2sea S Waiver 168, and 10" Producer Plug glide bait proto type. Caught fish on all three bait. We ended up our trip with 9 stripers in the 5-18 lb class. Lost as many fish also. Still had plenty of fillet to go around. Can't wait to go again.
