Who says you can't fish
#1
Well we've had a bit if a warm spell this week. 60 degree temps Tuesday and Wednesday. The ice around here is shot. However the lake I live in opened up around the sand bar. So I strapped in the waders and headed out. Everyone thought I was crazy. As expected when I'm fishing I caught nothing. Although there were fish surfacing and one actually jumped 2 feet in front of me.

Lake is very unknown which I like. I've most caught LM bass and panfish. Heard of 40 in plus Northern Pike being taken but not by me. Used to have jumbo yellow perch but back when it had a public access they were over fished so its tough to find the perch. Also had lake trout in it but I haven't heard of anyone catching one in 20+ years so maybe the pike and bass pushed them out. Great LM lake tho. I caught a few 4-5+ lbs bass out. Saw a pic on a guys phone while out ice fishing, he caught a 6+ lbs bass over the summer. Probably weren't looking for all those details. Eh, bored.
