If you were to have one set up for a troll rig. What would it be? Rod with line rating, reel choice and line used. Talking about local fishing to Mexican water tuna fishing.

Penn 50w with a 5 ft roller rod. the line depending would either go 50lbs or 80lbs mono.

i like my avet 30 2-speed with oc rod 30-80 full roller guides. I back it with braid so if we go down to the lupe or something where theres bigger grade fish, you can change leaders and use it as a big bait rod. But when using braid always gotta have at least 60 yard of mono, as you need that stretch when you hook a fish on the troll. And i love the 2-speed so when your travelling down the line you can suicide troll, and just pop it in the low gear and skip the fish back to you.

So 30-80 lb rod rating, you can't go wrong?
