I know squid is around. Actually Captain Jeff Jones out trying to fill the freezers of some fresh dead tonight. This time last year I was invited to go squid fishing for the first time. We went off main beach right out of newport and lit them up with a full float. It was a lot of fun and made great bait all year long this year. Actually used my last bag a few months ago.

Above all, get out there and get some squid in the freezers. Fresh dead will beat store bought any day of the week

They said plenty of squid around just never wanted to come up... They stayed deep last night but there will be a round 2 freezer fill coming up!!
