It was ok. It was my first goose on a smoker. I will make changes next time and cook like a turkey. Hourly basting and stuffed with apples for moisture.

It's being reported that the snows are moving out of Wister. Large flocks were spotted leaving the area, crossing over Hwy 111 then heading East and gaining altitude. It is suggested that they may be heading to Cibola or other parts along the Colorado River??? Last Saturday, we pulled two pairs off of two separate flocks ... only to have them get back in line with the live birds and fly away. A quick trip to the Davis Rd. closed zone showed something around 1,000 snows sitting in the field -- not good.
