Question? Fishing license

So I know the legislation for the fishing license had been approved to have them good for a year from the date of purchase. However, I heard that this weekend at the Fred Hall Show the #Berkley booth had a petition out because the DGF is not making the change.

Anyone else here have any more information on this?

Seems like a waste of money in the long run. I know more people would be apt to buy a fishing license if it lasted for a year from the date of purchase. By EGG refusing to enact this they are in the end loosing money.
