Olive Crest Hook 'em for their future
#1
Friday the 15th, I had great pleasure helping out with SWBA for the SWBA Olive Crest Hook 'em for their future Pro Am 2 anaul Tournament. An Absolutely amazing tournment and a great event. SWBA hand selected tournament Anglers to be a Captain for each team. Each team had 4 anglers including there captains, and a 3 fish limit. Targeted fish was Sand bass, Calico bass, and Spotted Bay bass. Teams were from the Food Industry

The morning started with all captains driving up and boats being filled with goodies for the anglers for the day. Carne De Theresa providing the lunches which actually were amazing. Food, Drinks, and Snacks given to each boat. The dropping the boats in the waters and the waiting for there announcement for which anglers that will be riding with them. While waiting, each angler recieved tshirts, Abu Garcia rod and reel combo, Coffee, breakfast, and much more. Once everyone was all there and all boats in the water. The team announcements were made. All cheers happening as each Captain introduced and smiles down to the dock.

Everyone getting onto there boats, pushed off the docks and head away from the Back Bay Bistro launch Ramp. All boats on channel 65A, the singing of our National Athem came threw the radio waves. After, each boat got into a single file line and headed torwards the mouth of Newport. One by one each boat speeded out the mouth of Newport for there start of the tournament. Riding around in the control boat, we got to stop by many teams fishing up and down Southern California Coast line. Everyone smiling and having a good ol day fishing. Many of which was saying "This is way better than Golfing"

As the tournament came to an end at 12:30. The boats and teams came in and starting weighing in fish. Many teams with limits, photos taken, fish released, boats pulled out and started gathering in the Bistro Restaurant. Amazing food and drinks were served, hand shakes and Congratulations were given. Awards given to the winning teams and SWBA Eric and James handing over a check for $73,300 to Olive Crest. A great day for everyone, and a Special thanks for all the hard work James, Eric, and Susan put into this event. They are great people, a lot of heart was put into this event by them. What a great day

Special thanks to Jim Sahagun for the photos
