Jackpot was a 30-40lb bft a guy caught using his bass rod and reel using a megabait. Took him forever to land it, wasted a lot of time waiting for him to finally get it onboard....

It was hooked on day 2 which was very slow fishing, maybe 10 fish all day. It was the only fish hooked on this stop so we wanted to keep going to hopefully find the right school. And I know the deck hands asked me to stop using my bass gear in case something like that happened. Awesome fish but wasted at least half hour of our time

My biggest bft was 82lb, and I caught it on my calico bass set up w 20lb line. Yes there was alot of smack talk while I fought that fish, but hey I got the only bft on the trip. It was also a jackpot fish and my pb. I can live with that.
