Offishial Business and the start
So this site was started as an idea, as most things are. I had started a lure company called PSI lures in 2005 and said i wanted more. The lures which at the time where hot multi jointed, heck even cabals and bass pro copied them. Anyways back to the forum and a little history. When this all started i really knew nothing about a forum page. To the extent that i had i believe 5 blogs that made up 5 sections and a calendar for events, even had login and password. Well it didn't take long with 25 or 30 members to realize it sucked. i upgraded that after figuring out thru MySpace and some other at the time forums that it was not going to fly. yes i said MySpace.
Reaching out to some friends i talked to a good friend who does or at least used to do programming. When i asked him his thoughts and he looked at a few sites, well he laughed. Especially when i said i am looking to start minimal money out of pocket, he laughed even harder. A week or so later he called me back and asked for my domain name and credentials. I of course sent them and then i logged in and this is basically what i got. Very surprised and grateful, so this was late 2007 and the site actually took off. Over the next 7 years the site was growing i was learning and figuring out do's and do not's, OK still am.
Well everyone and anyone in a forum/blog setting will tell you that there is a peak. That peak is the make it or break it point, as well with getting to the peak you are glued to it. I was told if you are not there to post or respond it will die with in 30 days. Being hard headed and stubborn i said to myself that will never happen. Then October 2014 happened, I shattered my right elbow into 8 chunks. Long story short i was down and no typing. Once again being hard headed and believing that i had made the peak, i was wrong. Basically 3 month of me just looking at the site via my tablet and trying to respond while stoned on pain meds and between dr appointments and physical therapy. I slowly watched and realized the site died.
Here we are in 2020 with a new attitude and perspective. we have made a lot of improvements as well lots of changes coming weekly. As i relaunched the site in 2018 was hoping to just get an instant bounce back. Well it has not been instant, however it is growing with some pains. Through the negative comments and the positive, i now say we are here to stay and grow. Thank you to all that have stayed with it and those who have given me advise.
I know i am not the best writer. I know with out my support team, my family and friends this would not be here and working. Thank you
