Saw lots of Pheasant while scouting IV. Keep seeing em flying out of bush next to canal in to the field. Anyone going after them this season. When is Pheasants season starts?

If we can hunt fields next to the canal, that would work. I do not know if DFG is stocking any in the IV Heritage fields, but I have seen a few wild birds out there during dove season.

That's too bad that they don't stock out there like they used to when I first started hunting. I found Wister after a pheasant hunt on the way back from Niland and from then on, the hunting fever just grew and still continues to! At any rate, I think a pheasant hunt this November would be in order. We could make it a Pheasant/Dove/Cottontail/Quail/Duck/Goose hunt -- one of those "if it flys, it dies" or "if it hops, we pop" kind of days! Big Grin
