Okay, try this on for size. Take the wife, girlfriend or domestic partner down to the beach this weekend and catch a limit of grunion. Not to eat silly, for bait. Put them in a plastic bag and on ice quickly, then freeze when you get home. Try to freeze them flat and straight. THIS is what the halibut are in to eat, and frozen grunion work insane as bait (when the grunion are running). Rig with a Carolina Keeper and slowly pull the bait towards you along the bottom to cover area and not get shark/bat ray bit (as much). Good luck!
