A Little Review:
First don't let pictures and websites fool you, but keep an open mind! So took a little ride and wanted to see some new places, so Google camping so cal. Bam this chick knows everything, Right! start going down the list and Lake Henshaw Resort pops up, looks cool, looks fun and off we go. Camping for the night and hang out for the day.
Lake is more of a mud puddle, however most are right now, the grounds could use a little works i.e. a tractor to blade off the roads and camp spots. But the place was clean and felt safe. Back to the pictures and don't let them fool you. The store and restaurant are nice as well popular. However they have not made many improvements sense 10 years ago when they did an overhaul. Would i go back and stay again YES, not for an overnight romance type but a group weekend to just get out of town yes! its only 20 mins from Julian and a nice place to get away from the city.
on a scale of 1 to 10 overall rating i would say 6.5...
OH and watch out for those Racoons, HAHA they will terrorize your camp....
