Agreed

that would be pretty stupid to brag about it....
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

So this reminded me of a story I heard from a good friend. Not sure how true but why would he lie. Story: there was a guy in Detroit that held numerous state records for predatory fish. Pike, walleye, muskey, so on. Any way he always fished alone and never told anyone about his secret. Everyone wanted to know. Turns out the guy got caught on the water and his bait of choice. 1-2 week old puppies. I've heard about rats and mice but puppies makes me sick. Kinda hope it's an urban legend but some fishermen will do anything to catch the biggest fish.

no way!! its only illegal cus the dfg made it illegal. i say if your willing to risk it then go for it. i dont even know why its illegal. we use live bait for other types of fishing. i for one would never do it. but can you imagine flylining a trout! that would be awesome.
men and fish are alike. we both get in trouble when we open our mouths.

i say if you can catch it, then use it, not net it, but like we do with mac's.
oh man i could just imagine it now, 10" live rainbow on 15-20lb floro. fly lining it when the 35 +lb stripers are eating. HANG ON!
