Heading out to Wister for the 2012 Duck opener. The unit has a lot of water and is holding more ducks than I've seen in recent years. A handfull of whitefronts (specks) were seen and the first snow goose was recently spotted (White geese do not open until Nov 3rd)This could prove to be a banner year -- we'll see. I'll check back in after the weekend.

Had an AWESOME opener with some Family members. Cinnamon teal ruled the bag. We also took one bluewing some greenwing a redhead and wigeon. No birds were lost thanks to my son, John, and his lab, Remi. Hunters:18 -- Ducks:0.
