Talked to a buddy that went on the Indy for a 5-dayer that just came back the other day. The bite at guadalupe was non-existent, as they only hooked 1 fish! and that was taxed by a great white. Not only did they not catch out there, but they had to check in at ensinada, pay a fee, check back in when they left and paid a fee, then checked in at shelter island customs for another fee. costed the anglers an additional $200! They ended up going offshore and did well, filling a mixed bag of yellowtail, dorado, YFT, and BFT. Fish were pretty far, around 180 miles out. They were finding a lot of fish under kelps, and had good sign that they are coming in. I have a close friend going on a 5 day leaving this weekend on the American Angler out of san diego, so i'll have a report in the coming days!
