Hey oat when is a good time of year to get back out there? Is there good fishing to be had in the fall when it starts to cool back down? Or in the winter? Or does the bite die off after the summer and just picks back up during the spring?

Fall is a good time, that is when I get my bigger fish. Action is a bit slower though because all the smaller fish are hiding from the big one. This is when it's time to use big bait because fish are fatten up for the winter. I use the same bait year round though. Have to keep an eye on the weather, if it's get too cold bite totally shut down. Usually if day time high is in the mid 90 they still be active.

Sound good. I did some scouting and ran in to another bait hole that have some good number. Check this out also....just to back up my theory. http://www.gameandfishmag.com/2011/09/30...g-tactics/
Came across this while I was searching for fall flathead pattern.

Yea late night sound good. Maybe even plan an over night trip, I like to have some beer too ya know.....lol...... Last time out they were biting good late morning and right before sun set. I was at the bait spot before 8am last time, getting bait was easy. Will figure it out thought. Maybe I can meet you at FisherOfmen place in Sky Valley early am and try to get bait from there.

yea that wont be a problem. overnight sounds good. everyone deserves to have a few Wink...haha. getting bait will be a cinch. small trout gear, barbless hooks, and some bread or chicken or cheese or anything will work. those baits we brought last time, i got those in about 10 minutes.
