The Catch Tour will present a fishing tournament at Lake Hemet on
Feb. 23 to promote the sport of fishing among children and families.
The event will take place at the Little Lake at Lake Hemet, rain or shine, organizers said.
The
organization’s goals include protecting fish and conserving fisheries
as well as encouraging children to get outside and away from televisions
and computers.
Entry fees are $40 per team of two to three members, with a $10 fee for additional members.
First
place prize is a $50 Turners gift card, an assortment of line and
lures, a free day pass to Little Lake and a subscription for one year to
Western outdoor news.
Second place team wins a $25 gift card,
assortment of line and lures, a free day pass to Little lake, and the
one-year subscription to Western outdoor news.
Third place wins a
$10 gift card and the other prizes. Fourth and fifth place winners
receive the line and lures assortment, day pass and subscription.
Every team receives a raffle ticket, with prizes to be announced. Raffle tickets also can be purchased for various prizes.
Entry fees must be received by Feb. 15, or pay a $5 late fee.
Fees
go toward TheCatchTour.com Fishing Tournament prizes and charity. No
refunds will be offered and T-shirts are limited to the first 100
