Yes, yes 7 pounder I said. A stinking carp that is....lol.....

Tons of fun on 2lb ultralight gear. Good action on fish to 7 pounds.

   


Caught some small trout also. Release all the fish today, still have fillet in the fridge from last week. Plus those carp are way too boney for me, and they don't taste very good.

u eat carp? i always thought carp was a trash fish........im not a fresh water fisher tho, so i really dont know

I keep them some time if I caught a really big one. If you put them in a sweet brown sugars brine for 48 hours then smoke it at 200° w apple wood for 12 hours. They taste just like honey ham. The one in picture are grass carp. Those are illegal to keep here in the canal.
