Good Bye big game 90, found this out surfing the web today. When I moved to Southern California and started fishing, this was my boat. The last 3 years running over night trips out of Long Beach Sportfishing for 100 bucks threw 976-tuna.. I love the feeling of being on a San Diego worthy vessel. Mike thanks for everything you have done for us. The crew has aways been awesome, expect for the cook. He always got pissed at me for chewing in the galley (im joking though, not mad, understandable LOL) I have met some great friends on the boat. Keith from huntington beach, Kevin for Newport, deckie John and so much more. I didnt fish on it much last season but did manage a 2 day with choodak. Insane waters on that 2 day on day 2. Well Big Game 90 so Long and best of luck. He is a letter from the boat owner IRV.
Big Game 90 Calls it Quits
Well everyone
by now I'm sure most of you have heard all of the rumors about the boat Mike and Me.
Well here is the straight word from the Horse's mouth(or should I say arse's mouth )
After 39+ years for me and 30+ years for Mike we have decided that to continue to try to make a go of it in a failing industry is just plane stupid (My lawyers words not mine). We have turn over control of the Big Game to Joe Graves and he will be actively trying to sell it. We wish him luck in that endeavor.ave
Mike at this time is fishing commercial squid and will be taking some much need time off and going to his home in Mexico this winter.
I am wrapping up the lose ends for the business before going in the hospital for at least one back/neck operation perhaps two. What I will be doing in the future will depend on the success of the operations and length of my recuperation.
Mike and I would like to thank all of our Loyal customers most of who have become good friends as well.
WE wish you tight lines and good times
Mike & IRV
