I never could figure out the big deal about releasing LMB. They are not endangered, live in just about every body of fresh water in N. America, and not bad eats. Sure they are fun to catch, but they get stocked like trout and catfish too. Stripers were almos wiped out, then brought back by conservation and now thriving. It's been over a decade since we needed a striper stamp.

nicely said. the people that don't agree are not very well educated fisherman. but with that being said.. it does bother me to see people walk away from my local lake with lmb but only because they are harder to catch at the high pressure lakes.
men and fish are alike. we both get in trouble when we open our mouths.

I never understood it either. In TN at my in laws lake they are over populated because no one keeps them and have now started killing off the blue gil
