Ok guys since there is not a lot of action going on in the inshore scene, i know we all got a couple of spots we can talk about and maybe one of us will get out there and try em out and post some good reports. I know a lot of guys dont wanna give away they're secret rock piles that are holding, but i for one dont care. if someone can go out and have a good time and we can help them do that, then thats part of what this awesome industry is all about.
-on the farthest north opening of the long beach breakwall as you exit the harbor, theres a green and a red buoy. Those buoys are always holding. I've gotten calico's, and when the grumpies are moving around, i've killed em on those.
-inside the harbor where the helicopters charters take off to go to catalina, its really sandie and flat. throwing jigs against the rocks have produced numerous sandies, and drifting bait has produced a few quality butts and quite a few sting rays that are a blast to pull on.
-right on the outside corner of the long beach breakwall where the bait receiver is, there is a nice hole that holds tons of sculpin. During the summer right when you can see the sun touch pt. fermin, its like the light switch turns. The spot has proven time and time again. lots of sculpin and some cabiez

p.s - you noticed i didnt specify what type of bait, what kind of jigs, or what colors are good. Thats for you to get your ass out there and figure it out and report back!!! oh and if i show up and see u at my spots, get the F out. Happy fishing!
