Aloha Mikey,
From Pacific Rim Fishing, which is the tackle store at the heart of Honokohau Harbor hearing the Kona catch report, or hearing some crazy stories about bites here right off of the Kona Coast.
It's been a little quiet the past few days, however, there have been quite a bit of striped marlin being caught and a few blue marlin tagged in the past week. A few fishermen have been coming in to replace the skirts on their lures that have been torn up by wahoo. In just a few weeks, we are expecting the ono run, when we get a considerable amount of wahoo showing up at the 40 fathom mark along the coast. A few weeks ago the ahi was biting, but as I said, it has been a little quiet the past few days. If guys are catching, they are being secretive about it (go figure!).
Hope that helps out!!
