Well, right now im about once a week, so i guess it depends on if you think thats a lot or not. But this guy saltwater bass thinks he knows what hes talking about....hahaha

I this cases, I would have to agree with Saltwater Bass. Once a week is not enough to comment on a reel. Shimano might be a little smoother out of the box, but would never last to the durability of Abu Garcia. Hell Daiwa and Quantum baitcasters are more dependable when compairing to Shimano... Just Saying

So here is a little fun fact:
Quantum fishing reels are manufactured by Zebco Brands. The company is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Zebco Brands also has authorized service centers nationwide that help repair or replace fishing reel parts.

The Shimano Company has been around a very long time and is a very large company.
As for reels neither is good or bad, both have good and bad. all reel are like cars and truck there are different ones for different deals. personally for big game fish i troll Penn Internationals, for spinning outfits i like my penns as well most of my bait casters newells or a mix bag of them. again its a preference and what work for you and sometimes your budget.
