Tonight
From Point Mugu to Santa Monica...NE winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt early in the evening...becoming 25 to 35kt with gusts to 45 kt. Otherwise...NE winds 15 to 25 kt with local gusts to 35 kt. Combined seas 3 to 5 ft dominant period 11 seconds. Higher and steeper seas up to 8 ft near shore.

NE winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts to 45 kt from Point Mugu to Santa Monica early in the morning. Otherwise...NE winds 10 to 20 kt with local gusts to 25 kt. Combined seas 4 to 6 ft dominant period 10 seconds...subsiding to 2 to 3 ft dominant period 10 seconds in the afternoon. Higher and steeper seas up to 8 ft near shore.

... Gale Warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT Saturday...

* winds and seas... for the waters from Point Mugu to Santa Monica
and westward 30 nm... northeast winds will 25 to 35 knots with
gusts to 45 knots will continue to develop this morning and
persist through Saturday. Over the San Pedro Channel out to
Catalina Island... 15 to 25 knots with local gusts to 35 knots.
Short period steep hazardous seas will develop near shore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occuring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
