Building my 1st swimbait
#1
I had the afternoon free today, and got the itch to try building my own swimbait. I don't really know where to start but 5 hours later I manage to turn a block of wood in to this 12" swimbait.

A little more sanding and trimming the tail.

Next step is figuring out how I'm going to cut it and install a hinge so will be stronger enough to pull in fish with out pulling apart. Time to do more research. Back to work tomorrow so this project might have to wait alittle while.

yeah you probably need some to get it to move and sit up right. like a 1/4 oz in each piece but im not very good at making baits like the one you have there. That one might have a gliding action.
