The "Pre-Spawn" Trout bite is comiing alive! Shoreline anglers are
producing some nice catches using the "Bait and Wait" method...Dough
Baits in Yellow Garlic, Rainbow Garlic, Chunky Cheese Garlic and
Chroma-Glow Orange are seeing the most action. Tip: Supercharge the bait
with Garlic, Crawdad BANG or Angler Bros. BITE-ON Garlic oil and Fury
powder! The Fishing pressure has been light with the majority of "Bows"
being taken on the east end of the North Shore by the East Launch Ramp,
Juniper Point and Stanfield Cut-Off. Sam S. and Matt R. pulled a 7lb
12oz. and 5lb 10oz (Respectively) Rainbow Trout using these baits. Also,
due to the clarity, Use a 2-4 foot fluorocarbon leader with a #16 or
#18 treble hook.
