Almost had a Yote... the story

I really don't like posting unless I have a money shot, but in this case I missed, I missed 7 times... short story is I did 3 yote stands Sunday morning to have nothing come in... on the drive home about a mile away from my pad I see a yote on the side of the road going the opposite way of me.. he looked at me as I looked at him and he just trotted away... I keep driving because yotes are smart they look back to see if one is coming for them, I turned back after a few hundred yards.. parked on the side of the road got the AR ready walked into the field guesstimated about 100 yards away from road and ran towards the last place I saw him walking towards.. he was still standing there looking around.. I posted up and took the shot, it hit at his feet.. he took of running into the field of grass.. I took 6 more shots as he ran and they hit low or high, I was laughing because I couldn't hit him... I stopped shooting after he was 500+ yards away ... got in the jeep raced to the other side of the field and he was there only to run back towards the street and I chased him with the jeep as he ran on the road for a few hundred yards then got back into another field of taller grass and I lost him after that.. the excitement that it brings in such a short time makes the work week go faster knowing that I will be back at it very soon and maybe redeem myself!! sorry short story turned long... what I learned from this episode... take your time to make your shots count, need to start running again to keep the cardio up..
