6-17-12 San Pedro water temps: Inshore 67.1 degrees and Offshore 63.9 degrees. Wow! Yellowfin Tuna? Are you kidding me? Believe it or not, the Ultra out of 22nd St. Landing reported a solo Yellowfin Tuna along with 42 Calico Bass, 55 Barracuda, and 21 Sheephead for 11 anglers. The fishing on the local scene is stellar. The Gail Force out of LA Harbor Sportfishing on a 3/4 day run with 23 anglers ...sacked 230 Barracuda (limits), 200 Sand Bass (almost limits), and 30 Calico Bass. The Matt Walsh PM 1/2 day with 12 anglers landed 120 Calico Bass (limits) and 3 Barracuda. Up north, CISCO's Landing reported 44 White Seabass, 1 Yellowtail, and heavy mixed bags of Rockfish, Sheephead, Lingcod, Whitefish, and Halibut. Down south, the Condor out of Fisherman's Landing on a 1.5 day run landed 60 Yellowtail (limits) and 3 Bluefin Tuna for 12 anglers. The Grande out of Point Loma Sportfishing on a 1.5 day landed 90 Yellowtail and 9 Bluefin Tuna for 22 anglers. Things are heating up!
