from what i hear its hit and miss out there, find the porpus and troll in front of them also it seemed from what was told these fish where off cat. island. no real details. i know from other reports Blk / Purpleare the colors again. Smaller baits also. my educated guess is going to be out of say Dana south west and watch for signs. most likely a 25 to 40 mile run out.

ok thats a little far for my little 18' center console. chased em last friday morning as we heard they were as close as 12 miles out last week. found some crashing birds and porpoise 15 miles out, threw irons and bait, but no takers. and dont have the equipment to identify schools so it was kinda tough.

the trick on that if you find them feeding is to troll infront across the school. feathers and rapala type lures.

Yea we woulda done that had I had my trolling gear with me =/..we were only gonna run and gun for a couple of hours, and room is kinda tight on the boat so i elected to leave that gear at home. eh oh well next time. I just need the right boat and equipment to take advantage of this stuff! sheesh! cant bring a knife to a gunfight...
