ok so my buddy & i put together a pretty cool lil bass boat, we try to fish at lease once a week , and we have had some really great days with fish up to 7 pounds, in fact, in early may had a trip at perris that produced 2 -7 pounders, 1 six pounder 3 or 4- 4 pounders, and about 12 smaller guys. so we take our buddy garys boat out to diamond valley on may 27th . now keep in mind this boat is a 25 foot pontoon party barge with 5 really close friends just out to have some fun and maybe catch a few fish. well we ended up catching 2 really nice fish, 4 ok fish, and then it happened, our buddy gary got himself a trophy 8 pound bass, so fun to see that look in your friends eyes when they finally get that fish of a life time. i guess the moral of this story is, fish dont care what boat you are on or how long you've been largemouthin, sometimes things just are meant be. congrats gary, and thanks for the trip.

I really hate this LAKE, it has never been fish friendly to me, had fish come up but not commit. Plus the boat went into limp mode and is not running over 1400 RPMS. well its at Global West Marine. Tune up time. I hope!!!!
well i think the guys from Rosa's cafe and tortilla factory went out, i hope they caught fish. Well Dale usually does.

i always catch fish at DV. just no whoppers thus far. today i went out around 8am and caught a couple 1 pounders 1 on gary yamamoto worm wacky rigged and one a silver crank bait. on the PSI shad and sunfush lures i have yet to catch a fish. though i havent fished them but twice. i get fish to follow them in but no hits yet. im optimistic because they look so damn good in the water. some times it seems these bass are very line shy. that water is so clear for the most hits you need to run 4lb line when wacky rigging. but then you also lose alot of lost fish when they take you into the weeds. but then ive caught fish on 12lb line aswell so it is what it is.
this is my biggest fish thus far out of DV after about 10 trips. caught on a wacky rigged worm.

nice fish, good report, yes DV from my research says to use 6 and 8 line. however be prepared to loose a few lures and fish.
i had all the same experience with the fish following it making charges, but i also had 20 mono and 30 braid on.
good times, i guess that's why they call it fishing, and Not catching.

Went to DV again today. got there around 8AM. but the bite didnt pick up until around almost 10am. first bite i farmed a 3 pounder. me and my buddy each caught 6 with the picture being my biggest one of the day. all caught on yamamoto worms. also since i was planning on using swimbaits and cranks i had 12lb line on and when that didnt work i through the yamamoto worms on and matched bites to my buddy on 6lb. so maybe they arent as line shy as i previously thought.

yeah it was actually blowing up to 20 mph on that day... made it kind of a pain to throw a senko where you wanted and watch the line for movement but luckily these fish were hitting it agressively that day so it was pretty obvious when i got hit.
