OK so i barrowed this from another site, but its a report that is a good one!
9/21 Dana Point Kelp
Fished the Dana Point headlands kelp this AM. Good news, the Red tide is on it's way out. There are still bad spots, but lots of clean water has developed with a ton of bait balls all over the place. In an hour, slow trolling a Channel Island Chovie Swim Trap I manage 10 Calico bass (half legal), 3 short cuda and a dozen Mackrels. Kept the macks for lobster bait released everything else. Water temp was 65-66.
