Working on the site and changes
As i sit here and type this i have been looking at the forum list and thing that have come and gone. When i say gone i mean Deleted and never to be seen again. Also means change and improvements. Over the years i have tried new things, tried helping others in hopes it would help the site. Some where short, some where dead ends and others well it had its time and place which helped both out.
Scary when you look at something and see it in your eyes as OK, however when someone makes a comment or suggestion and you say WHOA hold up. Then you realize hey maybe a little layout makeover or change up wouldn't so bad. About a year ago i was on a mission to change the site completely. Things where in motion and i even talked a little about it; as well bragged how the site would be changing. Then Nothing, then i lost a little bit of the fire. My person who helps keep this up to date and programming disappeared. No word no nothing, messaged them, emailed them and nothing. Turns out they are OK now, after a major incident that left them paralyzed for a few months and not able to do anything, but recover. The Changes may not be 100% noticeable some in the forum directory and lots on the home page. Some in other areas too.
So moving forward and back to the reminiscing. Offishial Business Outdoors is here to stay and grow. I have seen Facebook ruin forums, i have watched how sex use to sell, meaning a good looking person here and there used for attention both for them as well the product. Now its not the same it change. Having had large number of post and replies was great and we will once again. The observation i have seen is facebook takes it away. However remember this; that forum sites like this are more private, still public but not capturing and selling or using your info for their personal gain. As well being tracked or targeted for one reason or another. Does this site have some off color sections or post. You bet your ASS, a little drama does not hurt as well we do not always have the next tip, story or review so need to put something up.
Well that's my ramble today and i will continue as long as life allows me too. Thank you for the support. and yes i know my writing is not great!
