Anybody going out somewhere this weekend? The wife is out of town saturday and sunday, therefore i must have a line in the water for 48 straight hours. where we going???

Not 100% sure yet, but by the luck I had at DVL last Saturday. I'm likely going back to the canal if I can free up my weekend.

Ok Oats lets stay in touch. fisherofmen might have to go out to the desert for some work, and if he does im trying to get myself invited and we'll go hit the canal. We've been talking about it for like a year now. Just gotta do it. Hows the weather been down there?

It's nasty hot out there. Last time out was on fathers day, and it was 112 out there. Got to drink lots of water.

What city is it in? is that like imperial valley or something? down there by the salton sea?

Yes the area I fish is down by Imperial County south of Salton Sea. Some area are just yards from Mexico.....

Never had any problem down there. It pretty funny watching illegal float across All American Canal w bags over there head though. Like no one would not see that in broad daylight .......haha
