Wow....Thats all I have to say for this tournament. It was a really crazy tournament for sure.
Within the first 5 minutes of fishing Daniel catches two short fish. Then he notices he has a hole in his tube. Leaving me to fish it myself for almost the rest of the tournament. Well I fish all around and kept getting nothing so I start kicking towards some moored sailboats. I start fishing around there and caught a few small ones and then I hook up with a really nice legal spotty that a damn seal ate 7 feet from me. Once that happened I really started to loose hope for this tournament. I then switched it up to a spinner bait and from then I did nothing but catch 12-13" sand bass. Daniel still has a slow leak but he brings the pump with him and head out. Daniel then started to catch shorts also. After about a half an hour Daniel finally catches a fish thats just past 14". It surely is a small one but its still a fish so in the live well it goes. Not long after that I pull out a 2.10 pound sand bass. So thats our big fish. We have like an hour and a half left and its like somebody flipped the switch on. We then caught 2 more really nice spottys. So we now have a full bag. We ended up taking 3rd place with a bag just shy of 5 pounds. Not bad at all for never fishing in that area and having everybody tell us there was no fish there haha.
All in all it was a great tournament for sure.
