SEA WATCH- Livin Lcoal
#1

Been on the Sea Watch for the past few weeks working deck. Been fishing local yellowtail, calico bass, rockfish in La Jolla, as well as our offshore banks within 3/4 day range and picking at yellowtail and dorado. Kelp forests, hard bottom, sand bottom, bull kelp, kelp paddies, temp breaks, jig stikes, anything fishy is fished hard. Karpow has done one hell of a job at finding fish on every trip these past few weeks. There was one trip where we left for a half day with only big sardine, and shortly after fishing he heads back in the get anchovy which the bait boat just brought in and we went back out again, and found good biting calico bass with the new small bait. At one point the hours were 4am-11pm for several days in a row. Never fished so much in my life and still just as exited for the next trip as the first one! Local water are on fire, fish are hitting the deck, and eyes are on the prize.....Kelp Paddies
