SD BASS CREW- Blades
#1
I picked charlie up at 5:30 am and we were on the water in his skiff at 6:15. Target was spotted bay bass, however we are throwing Blades for a reaction and bigger models. I was rigged with a 3/8 ounce Thunder Blade, and charlie a MMT Blade. First spot I start throwing the rogue/artifishable swimbait to locate fish and after getting a few on that I knew they were there so start to throw the Thunder Blade. Charlie has already caught several on his. We get about 8 or so here then move to the next spot. A few casts in at this spot and I get slamed and swing, not much of a fight but was definetly a heavy fish, once I get it up its a really nice bass above 2lbs. And this is how the day went, we just moved spots and used spinnerbaits until we were off the water at 10. Fished an incming tide till 8 or so, then worked the outgoing tide in a little bit deeper water then we did the incoming.

With the Spinner Baits just cast out make sure you are on the bottom and strait grind with a few pops of the rod tip every few cranks to get the skirt to flutter and look like scattering baitfish. And be aware of the initial fall because often that will get bit as well. I like using a single blade as compared to a double blade, it is just what I prefer and seemed to work today. Blades were dipped in the butter as well as the swimbaits.

dude you always seem to catch the fish
Let God lead the way!
Give a man a fish he eats for one day, teach him to fish he eats forever!
