SD BASS CREW- Batman Begins

Met up with faster- u- fool tonight to get the scoop on how he was doing soaking bait for some big bats. After hours of soaking with 1 butterfly that he had I figured it would probly be wise to try another spot. Thought about a popular batray hole that usually produces, but Chris's buddy fished it for a few hours after dusk for nada. I had brought my girl along for a nice relaxing evening on mission bay since we were both wiped out from sports. Pulled out the blanket, set up shop with my 8ft seeker, daiwa sealine 30, spoiled with strait 65 lb spectra, and a sliding 2 ounce egg sinker strait to a 5/0 mustad hook. I wasn't really into the fishing tonight but just about relaxing on the water in good company, but the bats had other plans. Outgoing tide peaked at 10:48 and was a 5.22 and we fished the slack outgoing tide. First cast wait about half hour and get a run. Swing and zzzzzzzzzzzzz spectra screaming off the reel. I let her reel it in but she didn't know what to do so gave it back to me. I buttoned the drag since it was strait spectra and first bat was nice at 25 lbs. Then 10 minutes later #2 shows up screaming, and this one is little at about 10 lbs. Wait about another 20 minutes and get another screaming clicker, swing and this one is decent, up the beach I start running to follow my line. ( got a video of me sprinting down the beach with my rod doubled over in my hands but quality is poor. Number 3 was about 20 lbs, and 15 minutes later number 4 is about 5 lbs and small. The flyers were biting whole squid
Gotta give her some credit to! She grabbed my phone for pictures, held my nasty slimy seeker so I could release the bats, and was helping jn any way even if it meant getting fishy. I would bring her along again for sure! Will post pics tomorrow!
