Catalina, SBI and SCI Fish Reports
Fish Reports for Tuesday, October 16th:
Catalina: Is waking up. I have had several phone calls about some different things and it all points to the island having some seabass and yellows around. I cannot get specific, sorry. When someone calls me with specific intel and they are planning on heading over, then I must respect them and not put their dope on my site. Just know that the island is worth looking at. Stay away from others and find your own fish. Please be extra courteous of divers this weekend, there is a tournament going on for the LB NEPTUNE’S.
SBI: Another worth a look. Take my word for it, and please use the same principles as stated above.
SCI: Some heavy hitters looking here today, and I suspect they are over there because they have some good information. If and when I get any good intel, I will pass on what I can.
Offshore: For those who went straight to the 1067 and 220′s the fishing is good today. Those who looked closer to home found it to be hit or miss for not much. The SST’s show the warm water break bending further offshore, and at least someone followed it out to the Dumping grounds and found some good fishing with some bigger bluefin. Got the call around 3pm, and the yacht that went out there had one BFT that was over 50#’s along with a good score on the usual.
Plenty of rumors of kelps holding dorado close to home, but before you head out to take a look, better wait to see if its true.
