Took the family up the mountain to see if there were some snow. There were some patch here and there, was pretty warm up the hill for this time of year. Anyways, stop by Flumor and saw a single trout sitting in the water. Grab my son rod w crawler dipped in garlic scent. I cast right in front of it, handed the pole over to my son. And just like that bendo........manage to to get one fish for the short stop, fish was release. Nice to see my son got his first fish of 2012. Now dad have to catch up.....haha...... even caught alittle video footage for you all to look at

No snow, no problem, we caught a fish n good time hiking around the lake with my family. Til next time.....

oh you were up in the idyllwild area! im up there a lot. my gramps has a cabin me and wife stay at. I've caught a lot of fish up there on a fly behind a bubble. mosquito flies work really well. as soon as the sun peeks through onto the water, you'll see em flying around. that small lake doesnt seem to get much light. lotta the trout ive gotten there are really dark, almost black.

Fulmor is my little summer get away. When it's 100+ here in Palm Springs I like to go up to the lake. Only 45 minutes drive, but 30 - 40 degree cooler up there. The fly behind a bubble is a hot ticket at that lake for sure. I had many 50+ fish day there, c&r after the 5th of course. Nice largemouth bass in there too, if ya know how to get em Wink .

Yea they hide in tulies and bushes. Usually around bluegills, use light line, these guys are use too seeing lures throw @ them. They're tough to catch. Talk to DFG personal at the lake couple year back and she told me there 's couple of 8#er in there.
