DRAMA, Boating and Fishing
#1
I think this should be looked at very closely.
#1 thing we do not want is drama on the water.
#2 we want to fish in peace
#3 we dont need any A-Holes screwing up good times

Now with these 3 things said and a few conversation running through my head and a few post and thread i have read. if your going to go out make a plan stick with it, if you going to be a said captain know your responsibilities.
Just like "Lake Havasu" in the late 80's and early 90's it was still ok, then M'TV came out and ruined a perfect weekend place. well watching and seeing whats going on with more and more places, things are getting over ran. Yes i will say it and i am going to take slack for this, THE INTERNET is our best friend however on the flip side of this sword our darkest nightmare.
If you read a report and want to go fish then go out; just be courteous, know the rules. Which most are common sense, YES that little thing. learn your charts locations bearings etc... dont go run a charter that is illegal and charge people its not right. (just because you go get a license doesn't make you the next captain of a sport boat, it actually means your more liable than ever) as well don't post stuff that's not true. Sometimes posting stuff can get people in trouble out there, the ocean is not a forgiving place, remember that...
I guess at the end of the day it doesn't need to get so bad out there that fights and crap break out. lets keep fishing and boating for that fact a Pastime for great memories and family fun too!
I know i would really like feed back on this but i am sure this will stay quiet for a lot of reasons.
Tight lines...

I live 2 hrs away from any ocean to fish, I've mostly done canal fishing since I was a kid because the ocean was to far for dad's weekly check to reach, now that I can afford drive out to the big salty pond myself I try to go whenever possible... I start learning about "ocean fishing" online from this site and other sites.. on the other sites it looks like it 95% smack talking and 5% fishing, it's unreal to see all these grown dudes fight about giving up spots and fishing the wrong reel, ect. ect... I do believe the internet has helped me learn some but it takes being on the water to learn it best... but the internet has killed lots of spots/info that people have worked hard to find and now it's very easy to find by a click of a mouse.... it's the way of the future I guess... not sure if it's good or bad but it's here and it's crazy...

ivfishing glad that we have helped and yes like you mentioned, the cost is a factor to, sometimes its a matter of 1 or 2 trips is all someone can afford and then it gets cut short or screwed up because some hot shot that is just "That Guy" i want people to post reports here and give honest info and to help each other out, however i do not want the 95% smack talk drama. I think i will speak on behalf of all that post and read here, we want 90% great info and fun and 10% bragging and talking smack it is fun here and there!

Just remember dont roll onto someones fishing spot like you own it, keep some distance and have some respect, no one needs to run fast at night nor cut to close to someone.

Last year fishing with someone unknown we fished all day and found nothing. The capt of the boat took us into Mexico and we found a large paddy. 5 boats fishing it, dorado swimming around. The boat driver was that guy and ran the paddy over. Some pissed off people for sure. Though I'm not a boat owner, I do learn a lot from Capt.. Jeff. Find your own fish is something he preaches. Stay away from the crowds. And if you fish the crowds go around the outside and be respectful when entering. The ocean is a big place and no need to jump on somone.
