The Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) and its advisory bodies will meet November 2-7, 2012 in Costa Mesa, California to address issues related to management of groundfish, salmon, Pacific halibut, coastal pelagic species, highly migratory species, ecosystem based management, and habitat matters.

- Provide guidance for several trailing actions to refine the groundfish trawl rationalization (catch share) program.
- Adopt a range of alternatives for analysis of the groundfish fishery management process under fishery management plan (FMP) Amendment 24.
- Consider inseason adjustments to the groundfish fishery.
- Consider a report on giving credit for use of barotrauma equipment in recreational fisheries.
- Adopt 2012 salmon methodology review procedures.
- Adopt 2013 Pacific halibut catch sharing plan and annual fishing regulations.
- Adopt 2013 coastal pelagic species annual management measures.
- Adopt a preliminary fishery ecosystem plan for public review.

- Written public comments are accepted by the Pacific Council and the public is encouraged to submit written comments as far in advance of the meeting as possible.
- Comments received by 11:59 p.m. October 11, 2012 will be distributed to Council members with their briefing books approximately two weeks prior to the meeting.
- Comments received after October 11 but by 11:59 p.m. October 23 will be distributed to Council members at the onset of the meeting.
- If you cannot meet this later deadline and are planning to testify at the meeting, written copies of your comments can be distributed to Council members at the time you testify. Please bring 40 copies to the meeting with the Agenda Item Topic Number in the upper right corner of the front page of each copy. Refer to the attached agenda for the topic numbers; e.g., Agenda Item B.1.c refers to public comment under Open Comment Period
