i have always wanted to bridle up live bait for stripers also out here like you said oat for the paddy fishing slow troll by about 100 yards off and loop back. bridle works great with outriggers because you can leave that slack in the line for the hit or knock down, which with the circle hook gives them time to set it there self....

Nope haven't done it. But I bet a live shad or sunfish rig this way would get slam trolling leadcore.
