Back in TN on my inlaws lake we use a crappie jig with either a live cricket or a crappie bite on it. They also like to hit on a slow troll on their lake. I thought it was weird at first but they hit the jig hard on the slow troll. 4-6lb line super light pole feels like your catching a yellowtail.
