actually your wrong there. that night me, you, and mikey killed it on the wall, i was using the 300EJ the whole time and all i was fishing was the 1/2oz sled head. Thats whats so great about that reel. Its so versatile. i've caught small calicos on the wall, 4# sandies at izors, and dorado and yellowtail on paddies. But catching dodo's and yellows on straight braid sucked. no shock obsorption like with mono. You feel every little tiny head shake and everything. my rod was bouncing all over the place. Thats why i would say find something in that arena that has a good sized spool so you can put 30 or 40 yards of mono to somewhat soak up the fight. just my 2 cents
