Sierra Trifecta
#1
Camped up at June Lake this holiday weekend up in the sierras. Fished the walker river just off the 108 on Friday. After a long hike down stream we came to a pool with a dead tree sitting in the middle of it. My first cast I let my bait drift down into the log and BAM I am on. I pull in my first ever cutthroat trout. Choodak next cast drifts into the tree and as he is reeling in we see a massive fish chase his bait with no luck. He repositions, casts again and he get hammered. Pulls in this nice 4-5lb trophy rainbow. Saturday we took a hike into a back country lake and play around with the little, beautiful, natural brook trout. We hit a triple with getting cutthroat, rainbow, and brook trout all in the same weekend. What a blast!
