No I did not go fishing this weekend. Got the words that thing in Blythe area starting to head up for flathead. Alot of fish in 20 lb class are being caught caught this past few days. Biggest one I heard was a 49 lb flathead from Palo Verde area. This is one area I do not fish, but if you have access to a flat bottom boat you could do pretty good.
49lbs sounds like a hog
Sure is, but biggest out of there last year was 69#. A state record came from there and it in the 70+
we can make arrangements, i know a guy!
lol yeah i know a guy too!! thats definately gotta happen.
That area is not all that big. I'm sure if we get a few boat and spread out. We can figure it out. Some of the guys out there getting then only fish it few time. Oh and better yet talipia is legal to use as bait in that water. And they are very easy to find.
sounds like a plan. we have been looking around for some dingy boats. why do you need a boat out there though?
some of the guys go straight from shore, but to get the good spots got to get into the side pools only way by boat.

You can fish it with out a boat from what I heard. But it is much productive if you can move around in a boat. Just think fishing on pier vs going offshore.
