About the Irvine Lake So Cal Trout Opener (SCTO)
The Irvine Lake SCTO, now in it's 4th year, is our own OC version of
the traditional California trout opener ( of course Irvine Lake is open
much earlier). It's also a tournaemnt with great prizes and an even
greater raffle. We stock Irvine Lake full of big trout, tag a bunch of
fish for cash and prize give-aways, get a lot of sponsors for raffle
prizes, and invite everyone out to Irvine Lake for our own SoCal trout
tournament and celebration. This tournament is a great day at Irvine
lake for friends and family. This events highlight is the final drawing
for a $10,000 Klamath boat and Mercury outboard motor, where anyone can
win. All it takes to win is to have the winning ticket and be present at
the awards drawing. The cost is $50 for an adult and $35 for a junior
angler, which includes the gate pass for Irvine Lake.
