I am going to start planning an Alaska Trip:
1. Prince of Whales Island
A. Salmon fishing
B. Black Bear Hunt
C. Deer Hunt
2. Tok
A. Caribou Hunt
B. Site see
3. Homer
A. Halibut fishing
This seems like a good start for a list, oh and lodge accommodations will be Forestry cabins for the most part on Prince of Whales Island.
its not that bad, if you do it right. the damn car rental is the costly part
That's sounds awesome. I saw a guided black bear/ fishing trip 5 days 3999. You pay for flight.
i just did the math on 2 people self guided cabin stay, wolf, black bear and deer plus fishing can be done for about $10,000 per couple. dice it how you want. its about $1300 for lic's and tags per person. the travel and car rental kick you in the ass. its almost worth driving up. car/truck rental for 14 day trip is $1900 to $2400.
I will put a package together and see what it totals out and see if anyone wants to do a trip.
Alaska coastal adventure is 3995 for 6 day guided black bear, halibut and salmon fishing. Per person.

i just looked up hunt dates and its a little less also depending on how you schedule the hunts, the fishing and the lodging. lets look into a package deal and see what we can come up with. Hunt and Fish catch up with you tomorrow. Prince of Whales Island has Memories from when i went up with my god parents for a month at a time. kinda wanting to retrace some footsteps.

yep we can do a trip 4 guys hunt fish for a really good deal if we plan it and do some of it self guided.
i have been there 5 times and done well every time
