Went up to Lake Hemet today with the kids. Though I give them trout anothet shot since last week trip to Lake Fulmor was lame. Got up there around noon. Started picking away at the trout right away. Pretty stedy action for Hemet, usually this lake never been nice to me. Bought home five trout for the trip. Between the fishing, hiking, cold beer, and pine cones hunting. Had a pretty good time up there.
great job oat.. cant wait to see the final result on those bows.
That's tomorrow dinner I think. I'll throw a pic up here if I end up cooking em. Had fish two times this week. Sure the wife n kids are getting tired of it.
Those are some good looking trout. I have never been to lake hemet but it looks pretty nice
Nice! I have always had good luck at that lake. Heard they just put 1800 lbs in this week.
thats awesome, I want to plan a trip for some guys at church to go capm and fish is this a good spot?
it is i know that area well, i hunt up there every year, fished a little not much. campground is on the water but the lake is very low this year. let me know when you plan it...

I don't like to camp at Lake Hemet came site. Not that much shade in the area. It is much nicer at Hurkie Creek camp ground on the other side of Hwy 74. It's a couple miles west of Hemet camp ground.

They dump it in Tuesday. Same day they stock DVL. Cahuilla getting it first dfg trout stock next week. Good new for me. Don't have to drive so far out of the valley.
